Magdalen College 50th Anniversary Ball
The 50th anniversary of the Commemoration Ball prompted a larger than usual event for the students and alumni.
The grounds of the College were broken up into different themed areas all under the umbrella theme of “Victoriana”. A fairy light canopy lit up the Cloisters where ballroom dancing to a live band beneath the stars continued throughout the night. Historic buildings and a makeshift market fair were floodlit with coloured light, thousands of meters of festoons were hung around the circus tent, powerful sound systems amplified fantastic acts in all tents and the guests partied until 8am the following day!
