Film and TV Roof Blackout
We work with a wide range of DoPs and Directors on Television, Film and Commercial shoots to provide a full venue blackout.
Changing light levels, colour rendition and colour temperature can completely ruin a professional shoot. It can mean that when a final cut is made the light is not consistent, which can affect continuity and possibly result in high post-production costs or a poor-quality final product.
Getting rid of outside light is key to avoiding these problems. This allows the director or DoP to get the light exactly right and keep it that way for the duration of a shoot.
We have blacked out all sorts of venues from London hotels, to warehouse roofs, to tennis courts, to the roof of a Victorian prison. Doing such work requires a high level of safety management, specialist access equipment and a team of riggers with a head for heights!
Our team are experienced, well-equipped, work to high safety standards and also have a lot of common-sense. The materials we use are durable and attached using a range of techniques that ensure all coverings stay down in the wind, rain and sun.
