The event was a glitzy gala dinner and awards show at 8 Northumberland, London. Having worked at the venue many times in the past SXS knew how to get the most out of the venue as well as how to overcome key challenges. The objective was to provide a TV/arena grade production that would completely redefine the standard of this already excellent event.
SXS were tasked with developing the creative concepts, producing all content and delivering a complete production solution on the night. With all these resources now in house at SXS HQ this was an ideal project.
The SXS team create a gigantic projection-mapped set that allowed a myriad of creative content scenarios that were ever changing throughout the event. In addition to this high powered projection system, a central LED video wall was also used for bright, punchy images even when lighting was flooding the room. The LED wall was on a mechanical roller system which allowed it to be opened for spectacular presenter and winner entrances.
Content was created over a period of weeks and included intimate interviews, general views and motion graphics. A key element of the content creation was an ultra-slow-motion film shoot of paint splashes that took place at the SXS studio using cinema-grade camera and lighting equipment.
The show was one of the best yet and one the SXS team hope to produce again in the future!
