SXS are the UK's most broadly-resourced production company and also one of the fastest growing. The role of Senior Business Development Manager puts you at the forefront of high-end production design and working with incredible clients, the best equipment and the industry's best staff.
Business Development means establishing new business opportunities, engaging with the new client and developing a relationship to the point where the clients can engage with our Project Handlers. Business Development Managers typically stay involved with a project through the initial scoping and creative stages, as well as take a keen ongoing interest in how the project develops.
The correct candidate will have a proven track record of doing similar work previously in their careers, as well as have extensive relationships and contacts in relevant sectors. Some technical and creative knowledge is useful but you will not have to be a technical expert as SXS has full time senior technicians specialising in every aspect of production, design, content and rigging who you will work with. Projects at SXS are varied from festivals, to gallery installations, to awards shows, to feature films to arena tours. Initially this contract will be to develop new clients. As you build your network of clients you will continue to get the benefit of repeat business as well as be free to devleop new clients.

We are Bristol-based with the majority of our events being in central London. We have a flexi-time program in place and can, once relationships are established, look at working from home arrangements too. We aim to be highly supportive of family life and personal interests outside work.
The role will include:
- Establishing new business development opportunities
- Engaging with new clients, understanding their needs and how SXS can help them fulfill their objectives
- Meeting and networking with clients
- Pitching to new clients about how SXS can help them (with support from the wider team and company Director as required)
- Working with our Senior Project Handlers to develop concepts and project scope
The role also presents extensive opportunities to develop new production concepts as well as integrate your own creative ideas and concepts.
Because SXS has such broad resources (see the rest of this site and our YouTube channel for more info) you will have the freedom to do amazing work and do not get bogged down with dealing with complex supply chains or third party contractors. Almost everything SXS needs for even the largest projects are within our a few minutes of your desk.
As Business Development Manager you will need extensive sales and promotional resources. SXS have the best collection of videos, case studies, client testimonials, documentaries and templates in the business. This means that your pitching and presentation workflow is efficient and swift. As well as this we also have inhouse graphic design, motion graphics, photographich and video production capabilities - this means we can produce new promotional material at a very swift pace to support your sales process.
We have showers and secure bike storage at our base. We also have off-street parking and a secure yard.
Salary is based on past experience and skills. Pay is made up of base salary, overtime for site work and bonuses. Achieving £50,000 PA + is entirely possible for high-performers who work efficiently.

On target earnings will be £50k for a motivated and experienced individual. This is comprised of basic salary, annual bonus as well as substantial commisions on revenues brought as this is a new revenue stream for the company.Progression:
Endless. As you develop clients you will continue to get residual commission payments from their on-going work while other members of the team deliver on the projects. Meanwhile you can continue to drive new business.
